Privacy Policy

Northlight Studio (“we”) develops and operates the iOS app Lumen (“the app”). This policy explains how the app handles information. By using the app, you acknowledge this policy.

Information we process

The app is a journal that stays on your device. Roll names, exposure values, notes, and place names you write are stored on the device by default. We do not create an account for that content, and we do not upload it to our servers.

If you grant permission, the app may access:

• Photos: only images you explicitly attach to a note.
• Location: only when you mark a place on a note. You can decline and type the place name yourself.

We do not collect an advertising identifier, we do not include third-party ads, and we do not sell personal information.

How information is used

Local notes are shown, edited, and organized on your device. If you email support, we use only the address and the description you send in order to reply.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your notes. We share information only when the law requires it, or when it is necessary to protect users, the public, or our legitimate rights, and only to the extent the law allows.

The app does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting. If that changes, we will update this policy first and say so in the app.

Retention and deletion

Notes remain with the app data on your device. You can delete a note in the app, or remove local data by deleting the app using the tools the system provides. Support email is kept for no more than twenty-four months after we reply, so we can match a later message, and is then deleted or anonymized.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have received a child’s information by mistake, contact us using the address below and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The new version is published on this page, and the date above changes with it. If a change materially affects your rights, we will also say so in the app.
